The "Mhz" value for PowerState in the Power plugin is of some value, but not much in my view. It is the number in Mhz that is the "rated" vaule for your CPU. It is indeed a static number. I think of it more like the "advertised" number for the CPU. Of more value, in my opinion, is to get the "Core Clocks" value from HWiNFO, which is a dynamic value based on the actual current speed the average of your CPU cores are running at.I've just noticed this in the manual:
I assume this doesn't mean the current frequency, but the current CPU instead? Seems odd if that's the case when not many systems would have more than one, isn't it only servers that have more than one CPU?
If it is meant to be the current frequency, then I don't get that, I only get a fixed value. Could someone clarify this please.
The manual could be better I guess, as the text "Current" doesn't really mean much. I'll fix that right away, thanks.
