DropTop Four is written by Cariboudjan, an user on this forum. You could either PM him and ask him to help here, or I could let him know of your post for you - whichever you prefer.
Now, as far as I know of DropTop Four, it does make a few changes to ensure its proper working in the context of Rainmeter. One of them is probably related to changing the location of the Documents folder. While doing this by default or in the background is not exactly providing control to the user since it's the user who should be the one to decide that, there's a good explanation for that: Rainmeter doesn't work well with OneDrive redirections of the same folder, where the Rainmeter skins, plugins and layouts are also stored (you can easily search the forum for this issue).
In other words, this is not directly related to your games and such, it's most likely a way to prevent the issues mentioned above. That being said, I personally agree that doing that without the explicit user consent (if this is how it happens, that is) is defintely not desirable, I'm just saying that I doubt there's anything malicious about it, given the perfectly legit reason to consider such a change, from Rainmeter's perspective. It's also possible that the author acted on the parent Documents folder, instead of acting just on the Rainmeter subfolder, which would have avoided the issues you currently have.
That's about all I can say at this moment, since I'm not very familiar with the suite. Maybe Cariboudjan will be able to advise you better on this, given that it's his suite and he knows the ins and outs of the code better than others would.
EDIT: I notified Cariboudjan about this for you, he should be aware of this when he reads my notification. Nor sure when and how he'll contact you, but the "opening" is done, so to speak.![Wink ;-)]()
