Ah there it is! lolCumulative net stats are stored in a file Rainmeter.stats in your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter folder. There is a pair of "InX/OutX" entries for each network adapter, with the "X" being the adapter index number (which you can get from the log).
The problem with this scheme is that the indexes are not stable, and can (and do) easily shift around. This throws off your cumulative stats for every adapter.
So, what exactly are these indexes for? Why does Rainmeter start a new one instead of just storing the info into the same one? Does it need to create a new In/Out index entry when it changes? Does it make it more flexible to do it this way? Just curious why it can't just have a single In/Out pair which gets updated with whatever the current index is?
Likely too complex to explain and has good reasons for it I suppose?
